We had a great day shooting "Asian PersuAsian" at Fort Tryon Park, New York City, Saturday September 11. The film, the 2020 recipient of the Inwood Artworks Film Grant, is about a public marriage proposal gone haywire. It features an all Filipino/American cast. The weather was perfect and we had the Abby's Lawn area to ourselves. We started at 8:30am, had a 30 minute break at 1pm and wrapped up at 6:15pm.
I will have a new title to replace "Asian PersuAsian." Soon I'll set up a fundraiser to help cover some additional expenses. Overall it was a successful day shooting. I'll be making a trailer once I see all the footage, with original songs by Ted Reyes.

Two great pieces of news happened with me and my filmmaking within the last two weeks:
1) "The Pleasure of Being Served" - ABS-CBN a major TV station in the Philippines has acquired the rights to stream the short film. This will include a screening on The Filipino Channel to coincide with this year's Filipino/ American History Month in October. More details to come.
2) "Asian PersuAsian" - Inwood Film Festival has given a grant to MM to produce his latest short film. The grant is to be used within one year. More details to come.
